An extremely difficult weekend in Derbyshire saw Brandon and Faye walk away as stop winners.
Squad 1 ended with a MIGHTY performance from Brandon Roberts to take the top stop with a PLUS number , 1653, a measly 110 pins ahead of Big Mike Quarry in 2nd with 1542 and a few pins behind was Alan Meades 1538! The Ladies didn’t change all day and Nic Day held on to the top spot with 1432, 30 behind was Angie Brown 1402……. With Lorna Scott 1356 in 3rd.
Squad 2 winners, Chris Oates and Faye Elkington-Theaker!
Chris used his experience and just waited his time for a few high games, didn’t give much away, just did what he does best….. 1630 to lead the squad and to slip in to 2nd place in the overall. Faye, no stranger to a top spot over the years, is back on it! 1528 was enough to pip Hayley Russell with TashJ Ailes in 3rd!
Squad 3 , the Final Squad promised a lot, delivered…..a little! Rob Thurlby came out on top with 1608, after a 150/160 start! Our Venezuelan Carlos Nunez turned up the heat with a 1597 and Dan Harding Just took Lee Chatfield with a 1535! The ladies saw Sophie Thompson take the squad with 1391.
Congratulations to Brandon Roberts and Faye Elkington-Theaker for the wins! Brandons 1653 was enough to hold on, so was Faye’s 1528! Mens casher last spot was Mark Patrick in 12th 1508…… Ladies was Angie Brown on 1402!
The Mens sweeper was won by Mark Thompson with 483, Phil Manning 475 and Matty Lochhead 459. Ladies won by Jess Sillis 422, Natalie Boot 412 and Elyse Giddens 409!
Chesterfield bowl a super venue as always, staff are fantastic so a big thank you for another hassle free , well run event!
