RTD Drop in League Week 1
The sports drop in league started off with an excellent showing from our north west bowlers! 23 of you showed up to week one and we are sure that our league will continue to grow over the ten weeks as word continues to get around the north!
Qualifying was topped by Lancashire Senior Manager Trevor Lamprell after an excellient showing saw him shoot a 676 with handicap. His exclient showing saw him average 195 scratch, recoving after game 1 of a 169 he went on to shoot a 201 and a 216. Second Seed would be Prestons very own Luke Wiggans who was very consistent across his three games averaging 187.33 scratch for his three games. Third Seed was sports pattern regular in the UK Matthew Lockhead with a average of 220 despite his 177 in game 3.
onto the stepladder finals, we started off with a match between second seed Luke Wiggans and third seed Matty Lockhead. Matty would give Luke a 36 pin head start however that was quickly recovered by sports tour masters finisher in 2023 finishing with a 239 against Lukes 170 (with handicap). Matty would progress to the final to play top seed Trevor Lamprell. Matty continued his top form with a 244. Trevor Lamprell would shot a 192 with handicap in the final.
Night one winner is Matty Lockhead!
